TOFA JAXX AND LEON KING

Tanzanian neo-soul rising star Tofa Jaxx (Tanzania) with Leon Michael King (UK Guitarist: Joss Stone, Natty, Hempolics, Akala).

Tofa & Leon met in Zanzibar, Tanzania back in 2016, where they were billed together on one of the dates of the Joss Stone Total World Tour, which Leon was part of.

Since then, after meeting in Jambiani, Zanzibar, it was clear they should be collaborating. After a short jam session, immediate chemistry was obvious and they found themselves touring Europe in 2022.

Having just completed a tour of the Baltics and the EU earlier this summer, Tofa & Leon plan to take this fresh exciting new project to London and the UK in November & December this year.

LEON MADDY

Leon Maddy is multi-award winning harmonicist who has graced the stage of the Wembley Arena, MOBOS and The Mumford and Sons festival. He began playing the instrument after his aunt gave him a harmonica at age 14 with a harmonica tutorial book and video. He then started to teach himself the instrument and began applying the harmonica to different styles of genres such as Jazz, Hip Hop and Rock. This has ultimately led him to over 200+ performances and he was also a featured artist on the Mercury Music Prize nominated album ‘ESKA’ as well as a performance on the online platform TEd Talks. He continues to compose, record his own material and perform around the UK and overseas.

JACKSON WOOTEN

Jackson Wooten is a Nashville-born indie/folk singer-songwriter. His music combines heat-felt poems and moving melodies into a sound that meets at the intersection of folk, rock, and pop. His inspirations include: Bon Iver, Ben Howard, Gregory Alan Isakov, Big Thief, and Fionn Reagan.

In 2021, Jackson independently released his debut album, A New Child, which was nominated for Best Self-Released Record by the American Association of Independent Music. His newest EP, From a Warm Valley, was released in November 2022.

Jackson is currently living in London where he is writing his next record.

FENELLA

Fenella is a singer-songwriter whose style fuses elements of Pop, Jazz, and R&B.

Now in London, Fenella is writing and recording her own music.

Previous performances include Pizza Express Soho, The 100 Club, The Mad Hatter, The Concord Club, and The Talking Heads.

AIDA HESTON

Singer songwriter – inspired by artists like Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, Alanis Morisette, India Arie, I take my songs from everyday life experiences, whether they’re my own experiences, or experiences I see others go through.

I listen to many genres and don’t really fit into one specific genre myself, for example ‘Touched By Heaven’ a song written in memory of my late father, is both New Country, Pop, Latin and Dub Step, so I like to experiment with my songwriting, and throw things in that you wouldn’t expect.

I’ve performed in the UK, Germany, Poland and Australia.

I realeased my debut album late last year called ‘Paper Cuts’ all the songs are self-penned by me.
