Billy Magerison is a singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist, who honed his craft in and around South London, Bristol and the south west playing a mix of blues, reggae and soul. Taking inspiration from these along with elements of his Celtic heritage, he has developed his own unique sound. Tight grooves, soulful vocals and experimental effects bordering on the psychedelic.
Armed with nothing but his guitar, Billy decided to take time to share some of the more personal songs he has been writing.
His debut E.P, “Be Cool” is a collection of three unique songs charting the highs and lows of his experiences during lockdown, which features themes of love, mental health and self-realisation.
Life doesn’t always follow the path we expect, however, no matter what happens everyone has their comforts. For Hoops it has always been music, inspired by the bands and artists he loved growing up; He found an outlet, a way to channel his frustrations, passions and emotions. Having spent 10 years in a band in his late teens and early twenties, Hoops got used to the buzz of performing and once this was over always missed that feeling. Fast forward to today, at a fork in the road, and once again finding freedom in writing and performing music. Hoops is a folk rock singer songwriter who writes powerful acoustic songs that bring his story to life.
Trina Read is a singer songwriter from Essex who writes emotionally driven songs. After studying English Literature at university she decided to pursue a career in music, dedicating time to writing songs, releasing her debut single ‘peace my heart’ in Feburary 2023. Combining her love of words with her love of music, she creates music that tells an emotional story. Her main musical inspirations are Sara Bareilles, Lizzy McAlpine and Adele. Trina hopes to release more music in the near future and is focusing on gigging and building a fanbase.
