THURSDAY 7th October – 7.30pm – 9pm
Doors open at 5pm – FREE ENTRY

Singer/songwriter (and now author) Shaun O'Reilly counts the likes of John Kennedy (Radio X), Lilian Smith (RTÉ Radio 1) & Gail Porter (Islington Radio) as his big supporters. With his third album in as many years almost here, his very first book and own radio show, not many match Shaun's tireless work ethic and sheer drive, which has seen him tour countless countries on many occasions.

As a wordsmith, he blurs the lines between the melancholic mellowness of Elliott Smith and the blues bark of artists like Captain Beefheart. His fondness for folk and Americana led him to jump on the opportunity to pursue a solo career and express his passion for roots music and contemporary songwriting. His vivid blend of storytelling echoes the work of beat authors such as Charles Bukowski, William S. Burroughs and more modern authors such as Irvine Welsh. His words are poignant and poetic, yet down to earth and extremely easy to relate to.

Ella is a story teller & singer-songwriter from East London. She performs with direct intimacy towards the audience; she is your best friend, your confidante and she has listened to your pain. Her songs resonate as honest portrayals of love and loss, which take you from euphoric intoxication to shivering outside alone and back again. It’s this lyrical vulnerability, carried in the raw melodic edge of her vocals and mesmeric acoustic refrains, which makes Ella's music so distinctive. Having made waves on the energetic music scenes of Brighton and Berlin, Ella has based herself back in London to record and release her debut album.

Fleur is a Belgian-Dutch-British vocalist with a background in theatre and a love of vintage jazz that dates back to her childhood, when her mother would play Ella Fitzgerald on a loop and hum French songs around the house. Her voice is intimate, understated, and harkens back to other times, deeply influenced by the jazz, folk and cabaret singers she loves - from Peggy Lee, Billie Holiday and Blossom Dearie, to Joan Baez and Eartha Kitt. If she could move to 1920s Paris, she would - but serenading patrons in cocktail bars around London has got to be the next best thing.

Louis Ryan trained at Trinity College Dublin music department, and shortly before graduating won the Irish inter-varsity piano competition for his performance of Chopin's first Ballade in Dublin’s Mansion House.

His pianistic repertoire is broad, ranging from Classical to Latin Jazz to Irish Traditional to Pop and everything in between!

"The Lucky Pig is a real hidden gem right in the heart of central London. It's underground jazz-club vibe and prohibition-era theme make it such a unique venue and an amazing place to grab a cocktail and enjoy some quality live music.

It's such an exciting venue to promote talented emerging artists, since it stands out so significantly from the usual venues on the gigging circuit and we always get great feedback from the musicians who have the good fortune to play there."
